Cottage Food Operation Notice:

All cookies and sweet treats are prepared in a private residence that is not subject to regular inspection by the Texas Department of State Health Services. This business operates in compliance with the Texas Cottage Food Law (Texas Health and Safety Code §437.001–437.020), which permits the sale of non-potentially hazardous baked goods directly to consumers.

Design Inspiration & Customization Disclaimer:

I’m always happy to receive design inspiration images, and I’ll do my very best to replicate colors and styles as closely as possible. Please keep in mind that due to the handmade nature of every cookie, slight variations may occur—each set is truly one-of-a-kind!

Right to Refuse Service:

Flour Child reserves the right to decline an order if timely communication cannot be maintained. Prompt responses help ensure your order is created just how you envision it.

Production Timeline:

Every order is handcrafted with great care and attention to detail. The process takes a minimum of five (5) business days and includes planning, baking, decorating, intricate detailing, 24-hour drying time, and careful packaging to ensure your treats arrive beautifully finished.

Order Timeline:
Please place orders at least two (2) weeks in advance. This gives me enough time to source any special cutters or materials needed to bring your design to life. Early booking is always appreciated!

Rush Orders:
Orders placed within 3–5 days of your event will be considered rush orders and are subject to an additional fee. Availability for rush orders is limited but I’ll do my best to accommodate if possible.

Food Allergy Disclaimer:

Although none of my standard ingredients contain nuts, cookies are made in a kitchen that handles nuts, dairy, wheat, and eggs. If you or a guest has a severe allergy, please consider this carefully before placing an order.

Payment Policy:

A 50% deposit is required to confirm and secure all orders. No order is considered booked until the deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due on the day your order is scheduled for pickup, and must be paid prior to receiving your cookies.

Accepted forms of payment include: Cash, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, and Apple Pay.
All sales are final.

Changes to Orders:

Need to make a change? Let me know at least 7 days in advance, and I’ll be happy to accommodate if I can. Once baking or decorating has started, changes unfortunately cannot be made.

Cancellations & Refunds:

Life happens—I completely understand! If you need to cancel, please notify me at least 7 days prior to pickup. If cancellation occurs after production has begun, a refund will not be possible and you will still need to pick up your order.

Orders not picked up within 24 hours—without prior communication—will be considered forfeited and are non-refundable.

Packaging:

Each cookie is individually packaged in a food-safe, self-seal bag to keep it fresh and protected. Custom orders are placed in bakery boxes for a polished presentation.

Cookies featuring airbrush, edible markers, or watercolor may be lightly dusted with powdered sugar to protect the design during packaging.

Pick-Up/Delivery Policy:

Pickup times are scheduled in advance and are contactless. Orders will be labeled and placed at a designated pickup station for your convenience.

If you’re running late, please let me know! Pickups delayed more than 30 minutes without communication may need to be rescheduled. Orders not picked up within 24 hours are considered forfeited unless other arrangements were made.

You’re welcome to have someone else pick up your order, just let me know ahead of time!

Delivery may be available for an additional fee based on distance and availability. Please reach out for a quote and availability.

Due to the Texas Cottage Food Law (Texas Health and Safety Code §437.022), I’m unable to ship cookies. All treats are available for local pickup or delivery only.

Cookie Care:

Please inspect your cookies upon pickup. Once they leave my care, you are responsible for their safe handling and storage.

Cookies are fragile—handle with love! Keep them on a flat surface when transporting to prevent shifting or breakage.

To Keep Cookies Fresh:

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

  • Do not refrigerate, as it may cause the icing to run or colors to bleed.

  • Cookies may be frozen for up to 3 months. To thaw, allow them to come to room temperature for 3–4 hours before opening the container to avoid condensation.

By placing an order with Flour Child Cookie Co., you acknowledge and agree to the above policies. These guidelines help me provide you with the best experience and the highest quality cookies possible.

Thank you for supporting my small business—it means the world to me.
